Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name is often credited for beginning the current scientific study of children's witness memory as well as child victimes as witness in lawful circumstances. Professor Goodman has published extensively, received many grants and has been awarded numerous national and international awards. She consults with numerous governments and agencies across the world regarding policies as well as the study of child victimization in the court system. She acts as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of several professional associations, which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman was the president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
