Aurora
Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. The name she is most commonly used for her professional work is Aurora and sometimes stylized with uppercase letters in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th, 2015 receiving rave reviews from both music bloggers and the press. Half the World Away - by Oasis - for John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole - are already two of the most notable covers the singer has created. Katy Perry posted a video in which she endorsed Runaway. The endorsement earned her some attention. Make it a special day. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music was discovering a grand piano that was in the attic. The piano was fascinating to her its capabilities. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. He urged her not to play music only to have fun or as a means of growing, but that she should pursue it. As a result, she began to write songs of her own. She credits renowned composers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in her influences, along with an appreciation for the style of Bjork. Responding to her mother's suggestions that people shouldn't be trying to become famous with the songs she writes, but rather recognize the significance of their lives and the impact they have on society. She began playing the piano as her primary instrument at the age of six. She began creating music after turning nine. This was not known to her family members until she was fourteen. Aurora's fame was not her goal. The only thing she loves is writing songs. She believes that music can help anyone feel better.
